Is this lesson for me?
These are some of the people we had in mind when we wrote this lesson.
Aino is a PhD student in microbiology who has analysed 16S data in R. Aino’s project has stool samples with 16S sequencing and metabolomics from the same people. Aino can analyse each table alone, but does not know how to combine them, or which of the many published methods to use.
Einari is a researcher in nutrition who reads papers that link diet, gut bacteria and metabolites. Einari wants to understand what methods such as MOFA and DIABLO actually do, to judge the results of others and to run a first integration of their own.
Lumi is a bioinformatician who has analysed
transcriptomics and proteomics together with Bioconductor. Lumi has been
asked to add microbiome data to a multi-omics project, and needs to know
how microbiome data fits into a MultiAssayExperiment and
which integration tools work with it.
